Performance Note:
I began the composition of my first piano sonata in 2021 during the COVID pandemic and finally completed the work in 2024. It is a three movement work that is named after the Hellenic goddess of poetry, music, and art, Calliope. Each movement's title represents a quote by a historic author: I (Dante Alighieri), II (Edgar Allan Poe), and III (William Shakespeare).
