Performance Note:
I originally sketched the idea for this piece in March of 2020 at the very start of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, it was a way for me to continue searching for beauty and hope in an uncertain and terrifying time. Upon re-visiting it two years later, I found within it the same longing and optimism that we have all struggled to grasp onto. It is my hope that this piece relates both to our fears during unprecedented times, and to the enduring human spirit which continually recognizes the beauty in our midst.
